The Slumber Party Pledge: Fight for Your Right to Rest
I, ___________________________, do hereby make a commitment to my family, my friends, my coworkers, and foremost myself, that from this day forward I will take two-hour naps, whereby I am free to relax according to my will, however I see fit, each and every working day, regardless of the threats made to my financial well-being and my employment status by my employer. Such threats are meaningless when compared to the threats which are currently being made to my emotional, mental, and sexual well-being as a result of the inhumane demands being placed upon me and my fellow workers by our employers, our government, and our society.
Furthermore, I, ___________________________, do hereby make a commitment to my fellow Slumber Party members to join with them when and if they see fit to make a conscientious stand, as signified by a Slumber Party-sanctioned Sleep Over, against those who would deny us our need for rest and relaxation.
As a show of my allegiance to the group and our incorruptible solidarity,
I, ___________________________, will wear a Slumber Party Flower pinned to my shirt at all times during the workday and will remove it only when I am at rest in the comfort of my own home or until the day comes when we are free from those who would deny us our freedom.
