(Knight-Rider) Lafayette, Ind. — A local family values group is urging Lafayette residents to boycott a popular chain of convenience stores that sells pornographic magazines behind the counter.
“I can’t believe they allow this filth to be in plain view of children,” says Sally Hamilton of the Conservative Family Council. She holds aloft a copy of PlanT&Ation, a magazine published by Wyatt Duvall Publications depicting models in pre-Civil War slave garb engaged in sexual intercourse with men dressed as slave masters and Confederate soldiers. In many cases, the lash marks on the backs of the female models are not only visible but seemingly fresh.
“This is why God has forsaken the United States. This is why He allowed 9/11 to happen,” Hamilton, the mother of three, says. “We must rid our nation of pornography if we are to be saved.”
